Territory Managers

HumaTerra Regen Ag Inc. is a research and science-based developer of biological soil inoculants. Our mission is to add life to soil by ensuring diversity, density, and resilience of essential microbial communities. 

HumaTerra is engaged with independent and academic research organizations to validate the performance of our H-Start blends across all agriculture crops. This information supports providing sound agronomic recommendations to retailers and growers. As we increase our grower and retail base, we are looking for experienced entrepreneurial agrologists to join our team as a Territory Manager. This is a permanent, full-time, remote position. 

What is the role?

  • The Territory Manager is a remote role that is responsible for business development and management in a defined geography.
  • Reporting to the VP Sales, the role requires short and long-term planning, time and priority management, understanding of the Ag Retail business sector, creativity and problem solving and individual accountability & motivation.
  • Locations – Southern Saskatchewan; Central/Northern Alberta.

What will you be accountable for?

  • Annual sales goals for territory
  • Develop business relationships with target retails through a defined geography to sell H-Start to their growers
  • Develop annual and seasonal business plans with retails to customer level
  • Joint sales activities with retails to customers
  • Retail product and sales training on H-Start blends, soil microbiology, soil health and product use  
  • Deliver and administer annual and seasonal product offers to retails
  • Product sales orders, fulfillment and inventory reconciliation
  • Develop relationships with consulting agrologists in territory for product education and understanding
  • Market development for expanded product uses and agronomic fit
  • Using our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System

Who are we looking for?

  • Knowledge of soil science and commercial farming practices
  • A business mindset to shape and run your sales territory
  • Five years of sales experience in ag retail or sales territory management 
  • Sales strategy expertise
  • The ability to overcome challenges and to identify and seize opportunities (problem solving)
  • Communication style versatility and emotional intelligence 
  • Effective presentation and group facilitation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel (including overnight)
  • Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Agriculture, B Comm Marketing
