Healthy soil with the abundance of beneficial active fungi and bacteria can significantly impact a plant’s ability to respond to pathogens and environmental stressors. We completed end-of-season soil DNA testing in the Birch Hills H-Start Commercial Demonstration Field for fungicide, bactericide, insecticide, and nematicide agents that help manage the presence of disease.
DNA testing at the Birch Hills Commercial Demo Field reveals the level of microbes that help plants thrive under difficult growing conditions increase with the application of H-Start. This shows up in the first year of application and builds with annual repeated treatment.
